UPCOMING RETREATS
The Ometepe Deep Dive Retreat (7-Day Immersion)
Dates: March 12- March 18, 2026
For those seeking profound, lasting transformation through a more extensive container.
Ometepe Island
A place that receives you.
Ometepe is not a destination one simply visits.
It is a landscape that responds.
Rising quietly from Lake Nicaragua, Ometepe is the world’s largest freshwater island and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. For thousands of years, it has drawn those seeking clarity, sustenance, and connection, not through spectacle, but through presence.
The island is shaped by the meeting of two ancient forces:
Volcán Concepción, expressive and ascending, embodies fire, clarity, courage, momentum.
Volcán Maderas, verdant and introspective, carries the intelligence of water, depth, receptivity, emotional truth.
Together, they form a rare ecological and energetic balance. A natural environment where change feels both possible and supported.
Long before modern travelers arrived, ancient civilizations recognized this quality. More than 1,700 petroglyphs remain etched into the land, not as monuments, but as dialogues with the earth, reminders that this island listens.
Today, Ometepe is sustained by a close-knit community of farmers, artisans, healers, and families who live in rhythm with the land. Their presence keeps the island grounded, human, and quietly alive.
For guests of Sacred and Vital, Ometepe is not here to impress.
It is here to support.
Its stillness invites release.
Its strength offers grounding.
Its elevation gently calls you forward.
Here, the land becomes an ally, holding space for insight, regulation, and renewal.

The Ometepe Foundation Retreat (5-Day Immersion)
Dates: March 12- March 16, 2026
A perfect introduction for those new to plant medicine or with limited time.
Ometepe Island
A place of origin. A place of return.
Emerging quietly from the waters of Lake Nicaragua, Ometepe Island is the world’s largest freshwater island and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Formed by the convergence of two ancient volcanoes, the island has long been regarded as a site of spiritual and ecological significance, attracting seekers, healers, and pilgrims for generations.
Ometepe holds a rare balance of elemental forces.
The vertical, expansive presence of Volcán Concepción is tempered by the introspective, grounding nature of Volcán Maderas. This natural polarity creates an environment that supports emotional regulation, reflection, and meaningful inner change.
The land itself carries history and intention. More than 1,700 ancestral petroglyphs remain preserved across the island, quiet markers of a civilization that understood relationship with nature as a source of wisdom. Today, Ometepe is cared for by a conscious local community committed to sustainable living and respectful stewardship of the land.
For guests of Sacred and Vital, Ometepe is not a setting.
It is an integral part of the process, offering stillness, containment, and perspective that modern environments rarely provide.

OMETEPE 7-Day Sacred Immersion
Dates: April 11- April 17, 2026
Welcome to Ometepe
An Island That Remembers You
Have you ever arrived somewhere and felt, quietly and unmistakably, that you had been expected?
That is the greeting of Ometepe.
This is not simply an island on a map.
It is a sanctuary shaped by an ancient dialogue between earth and water, two majestic volcanoes, Concepción and Maderas, rising side by side from the heart of Lake Nicaragua.
Each carries distinct intelligence.
Concepción, expressive and ascending, offers clarity, momentum, and the energy of fire.
Maderas, lush and contemplative, holds depth, receptivity, and emotional truth.
Together, they create a rare balance, a natural environment where transformation feels both supported and inevitable.
For centuries, this sacred geography has drawn those seeking renewal. Its memory is preserved in more than 1,700 ancient petroglyphs, etched into stone as quiet conversations with the land, reminders that this island listens.
Recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Ometepe remains a living ecosystem cared for by a close-knit community of farmers, artisans, healers, and families who move in rhythm with the earth. The air itself carries a sense of preserved harmony.
For your journey with Sacred and Vital, Ometepe is not a backdrop.
It is a co-facilitator.
Its ground offers stability for release.
Its stillness invites listening.
Its elevation gently widens perspective.
Here, the land supports the work of the heart.
We welcome you for answering the same quiet call that has guided wisdom-keepers for millennia, to a place that knows how to hold transformation with grace.
